Scholarship Dinner

Our Scholar's Dinner is an annual event to celebrate the award of our academic scholarship to a local student headed to Blacksburg this fall.

Join us for dinner at the historic Engineer's Club at the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion in Baltimore to hear Associate Professor Matthew Gabriele speak about the influence of the Middle Ages on HBO's Game of Thrones. Gabriele, from VT's Department of Religion and Culture, is a medieval historian who teaches a popular course around this subject. He will discuss why we think about the Middle Ages when we watch the show and where those references come from.

A cash bar will be available beginning at 6pm, dinner will be served at 7pm and the speaker will follow.
