The Baltimore Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association serves the Baltimore metro area including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Hartford and Howard County.

Our goals are to...
  • provide opportunities to network with local Hokies
  • extend Hokie hospitality to local and visiting Hokies, their friends and families.
  • link the alumni and the university.
  • serve our community (Ut Prosim!!)
  • promote the image and reputation of Virginia Tech
  • provide merit based scholarships to future Hokies from our local community.
  • promote alumni pride and spirit for Virginia Tech

  • The August meeting and general elections are held during the Annual Crabfeast.

  • Craft Beer Tasting & Brewery Tour at Jailbreak Brewery

    Beer Tasting is always a favorite with the Baltimore Hokies.  This year we will be going to Jailbreak Brewery at 9445 Washington Blvd N, Laurel, MD.  Please RSVP by signing up for the tour here: http://jailbreakbrewing.com/event/va-tech-alumni-tour/.  Don’t wait.  Last year we sold out.

    Cost: $10 per person pays for beer tasting, tour, glass and good eats. 


    We hope you can join us to learn a little about the history and art of modern craft brewing, taste the offerings of Jailbreak Brewing, and the raise a glass to Virginia Tech!



  • Baltimore Hokies BIG EVENT

    Dates: 11 Apr, 2015

    The BIG EVENT is one of Virginia Tech's largest community service events.  On Saturday, April 11 over 7,000 students, alumni, and volunteers will complete nearly 1,000 projects across the nation!  The Baltimore Hokies have served by working at the Maryland Food Bank, Tree planting in Baltimore, clearing brush at the Robinson Nature Center, rebuilding a house for Habitat for Humanity, presenting at Career Day at a local high school, collecting toys for Toys for Tots and numerous others.  This is family friendly event.  Tools will be provided.  Just be prepared to get dirty. Hope you can join us to serve our community!
