Welcome Hokies!

The Baltimore Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association serves the Baltimore metro area including Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Carroll County, Hartford and Howard County.

The goals of our chapter are to:
  • promote fellowship by extending Hokie hospitality to local and visiting Hokies, their friends and families.
  • provide an important communications link between alumni and the university.
  • support and promote the image and reputation of Virginia Tech
  • provide merit based scholarships to future Hokies from our local community.
  • promote alumni pride and spirit for Virginia Tech

You are already a member of our chapter if you

  • Are an alumnus of any undergraduate or graduate campus of Virginia Tech
  • Attended Virginia Tech but graduated from another university
  • Are a PARENT of a current or former Virginia Tech student
  • A faculty member of Virginia Tech

Attending Chapter Meetings

Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month.  Face-to-face general alumni meetings are held once a quarter in February, May, August, and November. 

  • February, May, and November meetings are held at Union Jacks in Columbia, Maryland
  • The August meeting and general elections are held during the Annual Crabfeast.  
  • Meetings for all other months are generally held via conference call. If you are interested in participating in the conference call, please contact the President, Tim Fouts.

    Washington, DC | Dates: 19 Apr, 2014
    Join us to support our fellow alumni in National Capital Region on April 19 in a 3.2 mile fun run in remembrance for the 32 victims of the April 2007 shooting at Va. Tech . The family and pet friendly event will begin at 8AM at Hains Point in DC.  All proceeds from the race will go to Active Minds, a non-profit that helps bring mental health awareness to college campuses.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.

  • Baltimore Hokies Service Project: CHANGE, Inc. 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

    Westminister | Dates: 26 Apr, 2014

    In the Hokie tradition of service, join the Baltimore Hokies in supporting a local non-profit, CHANGE, Inc., by participating in their annual 5KRun or 1 Mile Walk on Saturday, April 26, 2013 @ 9:00 am.

    - Volunteer at the Baltimore Hokies water stop to help set up, hand out water to the runners and cheer.  Set up is at 8:30 am. Race runs from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Contact RSVP@BaltimoreHokies.org to sign-up to volunteer or request additional information.
